Members may take part publicly, privately or through an institutional designation. The membership offers editorial access, a considered physical edition and a place within an international community organised through City Circles.

The core membership is global. National editions may convene clearly separated founding, patron and public-record programmes under local terms; none influences editorial coverage or selection for The Century Honours.
