Private membership is for readers who want to take part in The Century without appearing in a public directory. No placeholder profile, initials or membership count is shown in place of a private member.
The membership office keeps only the information required to administer the agreed programme, respond to the member and fulfil the Member Edition.

Record held
Membership details remain with the membership office for administration and fulfilment.
Change of status
A member may ask the membership office to change their public or private display preference.

Names, organisations and the size of the private membership are not published. Individual public stories and the Carnegie Journal Archive remain open to every reader.
